Owned by Marian Ilitch, MotorCity Casino Hotel is the
only locally owned casino-hotel in Detroit . The property is nearing completion
of a $300 million expansion and renovation project, which includes the preservation
of the historic Wagner Baking Company Building which dates back to 1915.
The cornerstone of the former Wonder Bread Bakery building has been fully
restored to its original condition, preserving the signature features of
the 93-year-old Detroit landmark.
